My feed is full of people talking about their tools. LinkedIn, newsletters, blogs, … Everywhere you look, people are talking about their tools and how they're using them.

But … Where are the wonderful new products? Where are the productivity gains? Where are the stories about people taking more vacation time because AI got it done faster?

I've seen only a few posts about measurable gains brought about by AI. The article from Uber's CTO is the only credible one I can think of.

People are so enthralled with new tools that we've stopped asking what we should build, and instead we're asking only how we should build it. Which agent harness? Which model? Which platform service?
