The AI boom has companies exposing interfaces they've never prioritized before, in the name of agent-readiness. There are now APIs or command line tools to automate and customize many services that were closed systems with web UI as the only option.
These APIs enable the end-user to replace the UX with something that works better for them.
How many of us have wished we could redesign or replace some necessary evil (e.g. JIRA)? Now we have that flexibility, whether we're using AI tools or something we've built ourselves.
Fantastic.
