What if … instead of using AI to hand me the next snippet of code, we took this opportunity to move beyond rewriting everything by hand again and again?

What if we moved to a more component-based point of view – like hardware development uses? Hardware developers don't make their own parts by hand for every project; why do we?

What if … instead of helping me compose an email by checking my spelling and grammar (which I already have), we use AI to analyze all of my past communication with a person, find the best interactions, and explain how to more effectively communicate with this person?

Maybe suggest I should send a text message instead? Maybe suggest I should start a conversation or ask a simple question instead of sending a WALL OF TEXT?

I don't see people employing a lot of imagination with new AI products and features. We seem to be trying to make a more sturdy horse instead of inventing the automobile.
